It would be fair to say we are obsessed with quality and continuous improvement. Before we undertake any project the word ‘quality’ will be the very first check we make. The Management team at Beverston Engineering use the – “Business Excellence Model Framework” which is externally assessed by Aerospace, Defence & Security Industries (A|D|S) qualified assessors and focuses the improvement of business and management excellence. The framework is based on the European Federation Quality Model (EFQM) as part of the SC21 principles throughout the business.
Our obsession goes much deeper than that though. The suppliers we work with, the staff we recruit, the location of our manufacturing plant, the machines we use, the IT systems we operate, the desks and chairs we work on, the stationery we order … we cannot help but check for quality.
Rapid New Product Introduction (RPI) ensures new projects are delivered to schedule and to support the very specialist range of manufacturing we undertake we are approved to AS9100 Rev D and BS EN ISO 9001: 2015 standards.
We also have approvals by a number of Original Equipment Manufacturers including Rolls Royce Controls and Data Services & UTAS UTC Aerospace Systems.
Inspect, inspect, inspect
We employ highly trained and highly qualified engineers and each member of the team is responsible for the quality of their work. They are obsessive about quality and will only pass a finished component to our clients when they know it has been rigorously inspected and tested. From initial drawings to manufacture we build into the process time to diligently inspect each product before it moves onto the next stage.
… and inspect again
At the end of the manufacturing process we make sure that sample items are referred back to the original drawings, essential features have been built in, are functional and materials are traceable. That way the client knows they have received exactly what they have asked for.
